Bald Eagle

I did it. Raised $745 and am absolutely blown away by all the support of my blogger buddies. You guys absolutely rock and I give praise and thanks to every one of you.

How does it feel to have no hair? Strangely liberating!! I feel free from hair hassles, really I do!!

Oh hon, just catching up with blogs now and WOW, well done! Good going with raising some dosh and seriously shaving your head. I am impressed. You got a good head. Now I'm envious of you not having to worry about your hair for a while :-)

Nice head Jules, you should shave it more often ;o) Mine would look shocking; all pock-marked from when I had chicken pox and scratched the bejesus out of it.

Again, kudos to you.

Congratulations! You are my hero! When you get a cold head, or it itches growing back, think of the little girl who's receiving treatment because of your efforts/donation.

You're amazing.

Way to go Jules! Well done hon, not only for having the balls to have your lovely locks shaved off, but also for raising so much money. I salute you :-))

Awesome job Jules. You are so much braver than I (or perhaps less vain?) I'm still scarred from the time my mum gave me a short bowl cut in year 8 & all the kids said I looked like chook fowler from behind (chook was a boy & I was devastated!). Well done on raising so much $$$

I know in advance that my post will be either deleted or I will get a shit-hail all over me from your admirers. I am taking the risk anyway and say what I think.
Jules, I have read your blog for a while and I had always very good thoughts about you. You are one easy-going, warmhearted, beautiful and cool woman.
Sorry but I cannot say that I understand the deed of shaving one’s head for cancer support (I am aware of the latitude of the practice). I understand the donations and money gathering and supporting the treatment and researches but I cannot understand why people feel the need to shave their heads? I feel that there are other ways of supporting all this. All this choir of hens here admire and cheer and say how brave and beautiful you are but I feel the urge to say: Jules, I hope you have a hat or headscarf. Please don’t do that ever again!

Toomas: There will be no deleting or shit hail of abuse!! Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I don't think I ever will do it again as I have been glared at for most of the day but I think the practise of shaving the head to gain sponsorship has to do with the fact that leukaemia patients who undergo chemotherapy usually lose their hair so it's a bit of a token effort to understand some little part that they have to go through. I don't like the way people are reacting to me with my hair like this but I am proud of my efforts in gaining the money.

And my husband thinks I look lovely and that is the main thing. Great that you have come out of hiding! Look forward to some more of your honest opinions, think it's a great attribute to be able to express them.

Have a great day.

Look at your eyes... to die for...bedroom eyes I'd say. He's a lucky guy your man to be looking into those dreamy windows to the soul...
