Leave the Poor Barstards Alone

Most recent news item to take my attention is the discovery of a lost tribe in the Amazon.

They have been found.

Aerial photos are streaming into all forms of media.

Do gooders are arguing about getting in there and "helping" them. What with? A bible and some nice nasty diseases? How about some alcohol and some violent Play Station games.

I say leave the poor barstards alone to live in their divine existence where life is simple, about eating and reproducing and survival and love.

How much I wish I belonged to a lost tribe.

I agree with ya totally. I mean hey we (the Western world) are afterall the superior race arent we? We are so devinely perfect that everyone else MUST want to be like us!? NOT! If only we could just go back to simplicity like running around in the forest with no clothes and the only thing to worry about was if we were going to have huhu grubs or rabbit for lunch :D I'm with you Jules, leave the lucky buggers alone.

Scary for them. Western culture will always think they know best and will in no time, experiment, change, and ruin their culture all in the name of progress and ignorance.

Wishful thinking to keep them safe and pure but I have no doubt, we'll be sitting here shameful in no time.

Yep, they should leave well enough alone! I cringed when I saw that story. And those photos - if someone came and did that in my backyard I'd be furious. What about "their" right to privacy. A-holes.

How tragically sad. Imagine how frightened they were to see the helicopter.

I don't know what else to say.

I so totally agree..leave them alone..they don't need fast food and fast cars..or diseases either!

problem is as soon as they glimpse western culture they will want it. That's usually the way...they will not realize that what they had was probably more valuable than the latest gameboy.

I agree with you Jules, leave the poor sods alone. If ever you get chance to go 'bush happy', jump at it. I've done it several times, where no modcons exist & by christ, it makes you wonder why todays society throw a wobble when they can't pick up a cell phone signal. There are much more important things in life.

Shame they didn't use a rocket launcher on that photographer - its not a hoax is it? I wish it as just a media set up - poor buggers won't stand a chance once the scientists and social engineers get a hold of them.

Totally agree with you.

Hope things are brighter in your world and works okay and Blair is handling the stay at home mum job alright.

Was thinking about you last night and wondering how the hair is growing.

Agreed. They don't realise how lucky they are.

I missed this story entirely. . . . I have to wonder at this stage in the world's growth whether those people have been in contact with the rest of humanity and chosen to step away from it, or whether they have actually not known civilizations outside their own.
