The Life and Times of a Paperclip

Ever wondered where a paperclip has been?

All of you that work with paperwork must, at some point in the working week, use a paperclip.

You buy them by the little plastic bag full.

They are shiny and new in your paperclip holder.

You attach one to a cheque.

You send that cheque to a creditor.

The creditor then puts it in their paperclip holder.

And so on.

Some get unbent and used to clean out nails.

Used as tooth picks.

Others travel and travel, may end up in a bank.

Where is the final resting place of a paperclip or is it destined to travel the world forever?

Some literally will travel from country to country.

I would love to microchip one and see where it goes in winter.

How great would that be!? Microchipping a paperclip...lol
About the 3pm mark I usually grab one and unwind it and twist it about and imagine it is a particular co-workers neck!!

Mine usually end up with accounts, attaching my receipts to my expense claims.

I would much rather exchange it for something...http://oneredpaperclip.blogspot.com/

LOL - sort of reminds me of one of my former managers. He had a thing about people damaging paper clips, and alsways said if every one looked after them, not twisted them, think of the money that could be saved?! Would take a bit I think!

I've always thought in millions of years, when we've killed ourselves off and a new race has sprung up, their archealogists will dig up our old settlemets and find - paper clips and lots of odd socks!

I used to be the worst perpetrator of using a brand new paperclip to clean my teeth...but I then realized that one day, someone else may do the same then send their clip to me!

Ewwwww ;)

They all end up here in my office. It's where paperclips come to die. I'm so OCD I cant stand paperclips that are bent or twisted, and have always thrown the retarded ones in the bin. Now I'm OCD and lazy, so brand new ones go in the holder, and all used ones go in the bin. Saves me opening the drawer.
