How to Start?

Firstly, I have ditched Gluten Free Geisha. I couldn't be arsed with it any more. Having one blog is hard enough without having two!

I am starting on the road to health and it is going to be hard. Not so much travelling the road but getting onto the bloody road. How does one get on?? I feel like that chic in the Labyrinth when she can't find a way out of that long maze thing when she first gets into it. I know what to do but how do I actually do it? Planning is going to be the big factor for me.

I have also restarted my Naturopathy. I KNOW!! I can't let it go. I keep trying to but it just keeps coming back so it must be meant to be.

I am about to hop on the scales for the first time in about 2 months.

And the number is:::::::::::

111.8kg!!

Not actually as bad as I thought. I had presumed it had gotten a lot higher. This time last year I was about 10kg lighter.

So my first goal is to get started.

And not on a diet but on a healthier way of life, something I can sustain and continue.

Jules: Ha...hi honey. I'm putting you on my blogroll now that you are back. And I want to see when you post.

Jules...you can do it. I know you could get to any weight you want.

Don't ever give up jules.

I have to watch what I eat too...and sometimes I want that cupcake or chocolate. But I have to keep my sugar levels low.

The best thing you can do to lose weight is to ditch the word diet. The word alone and its image makes us feel deprived, restricted.

Trying to get all the flour and gravy gluck, cake etc out is the best thing. I am still overweight but the best thing that happened to me was that blood tests showed allergies to wheat..not because of the gluten but because of gliadin...and other allergies to fructose, potatoes etc...

if i remove them the doc says in 6 mths I may be able to slowly reintroduce them... I feel better, less gluggy...

re Naturopathy...have a look at the Acnem site,
Alison's and now my GP is a member of this...and practises Integrative medicine...they also train naturopaths etc...if you come to Australia this might be helpful...
