A Tit Sandwich

Showed my darling doc my photos.

Felt like a complete spack machine taking in pics of me tits but fuck it!!

He has sent me for mammogram and ultrasound.

If I want that within the week I will have to pay, not sure how much.

If I want to go public I would be waiting near 6 weeks and they would only do a mammogram not ultrasound. As I have fibrocystic (lumpy) breasts anyways, I need the ultrasound or things may not show up.

Wish I still had damn health insurance.

Good on you for going to the Dr even though it's scary!

All my love & good wishes (I'm sure it's gonna be fine!).

OK so here are my prices I paid last year: Mammogram $120 and ultrusound scan $75. I also had an appointment with a breast doctor which cost $205 so I'm not sure if you'd need this. Do it though - seriously, especially the scan because you are right mammograms often don't show up something that a scan will. Good luck and you will be fine :)

Gosh, you have some very generous friends Jules! Do it. It's better to just know and get it out of the way even if it's going to cost you a few bucks.

For some fucked up reason these comments are not coming to my email. I just came to my blog (cos it's mine fuck it all and I can do that) and I saw all your lovely comments. Sometimes blogspot makes me want to kick someones arse in.

You are all darlings. I can't thank you enough for the offers of help but I am sweet, I have a very good budget in place now and I have the money sitting there, just found out it's gonna be $180. Not much compared to the cost of a funeral aye??

Here's hoping the tit sandwich goes well Jules...........it might be sod all, but it might be something serious & we're all waiting for the results!
I was 46 before I went for my 1st titgram & it scared the daylights outa me! I had another one done 6mths later (cos of lymph glands being enlarged) & it was fine. Thought about going for one & then see that Abu Dhabi has a breast awareness month & ALL titgrams are FREE! What a pleasure! (Normal costs are around $200 mark)

Glad you are going to pay the money to get it looked at right away. It pisses me off that anyone should have to spend 6 weeks waiting to hear back about their results.

I'm thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed. :-)

Take care!

Well how about all the offers for $$ can be send to the "jules party fund" for after the "tit sandwhich" results come back with the all clear...
Sound good to me...
I'll drink to that.... Cheers!

Ohhh - good luck! good you are onto to it quickly. I had a bit of a scare last year and know how you are feeling but fingers crossed it's all ok.

Take care:-)

Good on you Jules. I'm glad you're on to it. I was going to say around the $180 mark. I've been having them for the last 12 years as my mum had breast cancer in early late thirties. I don't have to pay cause of it. She's all good nearly thirty years on to btw.

Hope it is just fatty tissue - in the nicest possible way.

BTW have just done a wedding update. Can you pass your "just been married" eye over it and see if I've left anything out.

Hugs.

Im a bit staggered at our health system though, obviously naive, but I thought if you NEEDED it, you would get it! dumb!
